Awake is Godsmack’s second studio album, released in 2000 as the follow-up to the band’s self-titled breakthrough. It arrived at the height of post-grunge radio’s commercial reach and helped cement Godsmack as one of the format’s most durable hard rock acts.
The title track and “Greed” push the album’s blunt-force momentum to the front, while “Bad Magick” and “Sick of Life” lean into the darker, more abrasive edge that runs through the record. This edition is available on CD.
